COLLEGE OF NURSING SYNOD HOSPITAL

RC Lalrengpuii, the current Principal of the College of Nursing, Synod Hospital, Durtlang, began her career as a Staff Nurse on 1st June 1996. After many years of dedicated service in the hospital wards, she was promoted to Sister Tutor on 1st January 2006 and started her work at the Nursing School, Synod Hospital, Durtlang (now known as the College of Nursing, Synod Hospital).

Continuing her commitment and contribution to the institution, she was promoted to Assistant Professor on 1st May 2021. She further advanced to the position of Vice Principal on 1st January 2024. After two years of service in that role, She was appointed as the Principal of the College of Nursing, Synod Hospital, Durtlang..

History of College of Nursing, Synod Hospital (CONSH)

The Synod Hospital (originally the Welsh Mission Hospital, established in 1928) is situated on a serene hillock called DERHKEN TLANG in Durtlang. This blessed land was gifted to the Welsh Missionaries by the Chief of Durtlang, Pu M. Suaka Chawngthu, as a haven of hope and healing.

Rev. Mendus and Rev. Sandy, along with church elders and village leaders, dedicated this hillock for healing the sick. Over the decades, the School and subsequently the College of Nursing has flourished into one of the North East's premier institutions for clinical nursing education.
